It has been a very busy holiday season for the Bonsteel family (as evidenced by the fact that this blog hasn't been updated in over a month). Cooper was able to experience his first full-blown Christmas season as a little boy, and loved every minute of it.
First off, no Christmas is complete without the cookie baking marathon that Nicole annually completes (much to the dismay of Jeff, as 99.7% of the cookies end up being given away). Cooper had a blast helping Mommy and Grandma Bonsteel arrange the ingredients and assist in decorating.
After making cookies, it was time to decorate the tree! Cooper was an expert tree decorator, having already hung several ornaments at Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop Nagle's house.
Finally, the big day was here! Santa must have spent an extra amount of time at Cooper's house, based on the volume of gifts that were in the living room. The "big gift" from Santa was a tricycle - which quickly grabbed Cooper's attention.
Santa also took the time to assemble a real-life train around the tree, complete with bells and music! Grandpa was an expert on helping show Cooper how to turn on and off the Santa Express.
Christmas wouldn't have been complete without a Star Wars toy - and Santa didn't disappoint! Cooper is now a proud owner of a "Spudtrooper" (a Mr. Potato Head Stormtrooper).
Grandma and Grandpa gave Cooper a super-cool ride-on turtle, which was a big hit as well! Cooper rode the turtle around and around, while continuously pressing the buttons to play various songs and sounds. Continuously. Like non-stop.
After all the present opening, Cooper needed some downtime with Mommy (and to catch some portions of "A Christmas Story").
