Happy Halloween!

Unlike last year, this year we had perfect weather this past weekend and for Halloween trick-or-treating. Cooper was looking forward to the big day - mostly because over the past 2 months he changed what costume he wanted to wear about 37 times. He finally decided on a T-Rex (not a Tyrannosaurus Rex, nor a dinosaur - but a T-Rex). Cate tastefully selected to be a cupcake (pun intended).

Cooper was so excited this year to participate in all the festivities.  On Sunday with spent the day with the kids carving the pumpkin, decorating cupcakes, and enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

This year we had a yellow pumpkin (that Cooper picked himself during a school trip). Apparently all the rain we have had in New York has prevented the pumpkins from turning - but that didn't prevent us from carving Daddy's special "smiley face with two teeth jack-o-lantern."

Catie and Cooper had a great time playing in the kitchen.  She is always all smiles around Cooper.

On Halloween we took our annual "picture next to the jack-o-lantern."

Next up was the main event - trick-or-treating! Cooper was very eager to go to houses initially, but his interest quickly waned, and he had enough after 15 minutes or so. Cate played her role of "cute baby in Mommy's arms" perfectly.

After a few houses, we returned for a picture of the kids again (in costume, in case you were wondering).

The most excitement for Cooper came when it was time to give out candy to other kids! Cooper guarded the door waiting for "skeletons and Batman" to come. Cate also sat by the door waiting as well - until a scary mask showed up, in which case she high-tailed it back into the living room!
